Meet Kelly Lobb: Passionate Dancer, Inspiring Educator, and Studio Founder
Kelly Lobb is a distinguished dance professional with a lifelong dedication to the art form. Graduating in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Long Beach State, Kelly’s journey in the world of dance began long before her college years.
From the tender age of 3, Kelly immersed herself in the world of dance, showcasing both a natural talent and an unwavering passion for the art. Her early training took place at her cousin’s esteemed dance studio in California, where she not only honed her technical skills but also imbibed a deep appreciation for the artistry of movement.
After completing her formal education, Kelly ventured into the realm of teaching, sharing her expertise and love for dance in various locations across California, Las Vegas, and Arizona. Her commitment to nurturing the next generation of dancers and instilling in them a profound love for the art form has left an indelible mark on countless students.
In 2006, Kelly Lobb took a bold step in her dance journey by opening KDA Dance. This visionary move allowed her to create a space where dancers of all levels could come together, learn, and be inspired. Under Kelly’s leadership, KDA Dance has flourished into a vibrant community hub for dance enthusiasts, fostering creativity, discipline, and a sense of belonging.
Kelly’s approach to dance education goes beyond technique; it encompasses mentorship, encouragement, and a genuine passion for each student’s individual growth. Her impact on the dance community is not only reflected in the numerous awards and accolades her students have earned but also in the lasting memories and skills imparted to each dancer under her guidance.

Jordyn Halvorsen
Jazz, Hip-hop, tumble
Jordyn began dancing at the age of 3 and since that time has explored ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre, hip hop, pom dance, lyrical and contemporary. She began competing at age 13 at both regional and national competitions. During her time as a competitive dancer she earned many overall scores as both a soloist and a group dancer. Jordyn also joined the pom team throughout her high school years becoming team captain her senior year.
Jordyn’s love for teaching and choreographing blossomed while assisting her first dance class at KDA Dance. Jordyn starting assistant teaching at the age of 13 and began teaching and choreographing her own dance classes of all styles when she was 15. Since this time, she has taught both recreational and competitive dancers. She also became coach of the Fountain Hills pom/cheer team for the 2022-2023 school year.
Jordyn completed a Bachelor of Business Communication degree in 2022 with a dance minor at Arizona State University. Go Devils! While her studies at ASU, she performed with the Devilettes dance team and achieved a big role on the executive board for the Devilettes.
Jordyn enjoys the passion and freedom which dance provides her with and she aims to share her love for dance with all her students while helping them grow in a comforting, fun, and encouraging environment.

Ashley Leoncini
Ballet
Ashley Leoncini has been a dance instructor for the past 17 years teaching the disciplines of ballet, jazz contemporary and pointe. Her training started at her moms dance studio at the Carbondale Dance Academy where she began teaching at 17. She also studied and was a principal dancer at The Ballet Theater of Scranton performing lead roles of Dew Drop Fairy, Autumn Fairy , and the lead in the Carosel ballet. Additionally she toured as assistant with the Manhatten Dance Project and has taught at 5 studios across Pennsylvania and New Jersey. A new resident to Arizona, Ashley moved here a year ago and is excited to be taking on the ballet teacher role at Kelly Dance Academy. Outside of dance Ashley owns The Philly Hair & Makeup Company, a salon in Philly and on location wedding beauty service in Arizona.

Ron Phan
Hip Hop
Shortly after graduating from the University of Washington – Bothell with a bachelor’s degree in Media and Communications, Ron moved to Arizona in 2019 to build a career and pursue dance on the side where he began his hip hop training at Elektro Dance Academy. By early 2020, he became part of the Elektrolytes Dance Crew and has since competed with them at Hip Hop International, taking home a gold, bronze, and silver medal between 2021-2023. Ron’s professional experience includes performances at Choreographer’s Carnival, Tiffany Billings’ Jete, and the Super Bowl LVII as a field dancer for Rihanna. He currently teaches full-time at several studios in the Mesa area and is a director at the Elektro Dance Academy.
